Dear Sharingan Members,

It is with some degree of sadness, and equally, some degree of satisfaction at our accomplishments, that I have chosen to close Sharingan.net once and for all.

I will leave the website up about another month and then remove all of our data off the server to ensure it does not get into the wrong hands. It has been a great run!

Please copy and save anything you need by the end of the year to your computers (key posts/threads you liked, stories you have written, roleplays, pictures, etc).

It has been a fun run over 7+ years my friends, but I am far too busy with other projects and not as interested in running a naruto website was I once was. As you can see, without my continued updates, this website has grind-ed down to a complete halt from it's glorious days with thousands of active members. I will be sure to let you know if I do decide to make anything down the road to those that are interested.. I just do not like doing things without being involved daily to oversee that it get's done 'properly'.

I have great memories of our crazy forum rants, naruto manga chapter discussions and theories, download shennigans, the dattebayo fansub group interviews (+threats), the work that each member of the staff has put into the website (thank you), the great dedication of our top members to visiting and updating the site (thank you), denying the request by comicon to setup a booth for the site because I didn't know what that actually meant at the time (damn!), and of course Kenshin's Parodies! I'm sure those of us that were active here will remember these times.

Quick update on me: Currently I have finished my degrees and I am 'enjoying' *COUGH* working at IBM and driving my new Benz. Work hard and you guys can definitely achieve anything!

Feel free to leave a comment on what you remember best from our community or any other comments! As Kenshinkid would put it, 'It's been a sexy time'.

Please do not die before 2012. Just kidding! So apparently theres 1 year left for 'us', so your 2011 resolution should be to do everything you ever wanted to do in life! Every day should be a new adventure, hows that for a new years eve resolution?

Anyways, heres to hoping Sharingan lasts a few more years at least, *coughs* Veritas where are you with the updates?!
